About

Ryan Numair is an artist working in printmaking and stained glass. Drawn to these mediums for their meditative processes and a love for layers, he utilizes maritime and surreal imagery based upon his personal experience. Being raised along the Jersey Shore, the ocean remains an important influence to his work along with a love for music.

Transitioning from a career as a Chef, Ryan started to focus on visual arts in 2020. He studied Art & Design at the Community College of Philadelphia where he focused on illustration and poster design. There he found a new focus in printmaking through his interest in gig posters. Much of what he loved working in the kitchen was similar within the print studio.

Ryan graduated with a BFA in Printmaking from Tyler School of Art in 2025. Since then he has continued teaching and working within the Philadelphia print and glass communities. He has received the Fob Holder Program fellowship at Second State Press for the Summer and Fall 2025 sessions where he continues to grow a body of print work. He remains focused on the intersection of stained glass, print, and the multiple.
